Preparing a hot meal, driving our van for an hour, or spending a night as an overnight attendant are all ways that individuals can serve as a volunteer at the Men's Winter Refuge.
Van drivers
During the winter months, drivers are needed for our 14-passenger van are needed for 1-hour shifts in the morning (6:30-7:30 am) and the evening (6:30-7:30 pm). No special driver's license is required.
Overnight attendants
During the winter months, men or women age 21-over are needed on site from 7 pm to 5 am. Free WiFi and a comfortable TV room with desktop PC, big-screen TV, streaming system and a large selection of DVD/blue-ray movies are provided.
Donate a meal
Prepare a meal to be served hot at 7 pm, or make it earlier to be delivered or picked up to be reheated at 7 pm. Also, if your club, business, church, etc., has leftovers from an event or meeting, those items can be delivered or we will gladly pick it up.
